The world has truly become one big village.
You can now have breakfast at a McDonald in Paris, then do lunch with friends in New York. No big deal!
How about an exchange student from Timbuktu who learns the art of playing the xylophone on wooden palettes, then lands a gig in one of Chicago's premier universities, over the phone, and you can attend her live shows here every weekend, even as she calls Mali, home.
