It's about the marketing guy who went to a shampoo manufacturer and said he'd double their profits for $25,000.
Expecting a major marketing campaign, the owner hired him... then baulked when the guy handed over a slip of paper with those three famous words...
"Rinse and Repeat!"
Of course, they doubled their profits...
...And you can do the same with your TRAFFIC with a simple shift in strategy, which I'll clarify with another quick story.
It's about "Alka-Seltzer"...when their sales were dropping off in the early 1960's.
So besides changing their image from, "...the disgusting slob who ate and drank too much"...
...They simply changed their marketing to reflect the need for TWO Alka-Seltzers, instead of one.
The message was reinforced with the diabolical jingle, "Plop, Plop; Fizz, Fizz, Oh, What a Relief It Is!"
And the point?
That a few words, a different mental image, a new emphasis... can mean ASTRONOMICAL CONVERSIONS and profits.
How can YOU do the same thing with your TRAFFIC and CONVERSIONS?
Okay!
ReplyDeleteNo more Tabu topics!
ebooks are getting more trendy than Hard Copies. Does anyone know why.
I like to hold my book as I read it, so I am not really a fan of ebooks.
INTERVIEW JAMBOREE!
ReplyDeleteYou walk into the room and your interviewer is of the opposite sex.
So, are immediately distracted and loose your focus?
Gush!
You’d rather be interviewed by your own sex or gender?
Most advertising is about the power to convince. Regardless of what is being sold, the buyer is often looking for logic in your advertising.
