I learnt a new word in 2008, when George Bush’s defense Secretary excused the war blunder in Afghanistan on “Known, unknowns”
It got me reflecting on this phrase, quite a bit.
To me, ‘known unknowns’ are phenomena that we believe happen, but uncertain when!
A good example is Death: we know we will eventually die, but do not know when it will happen.
We may also know a person is dead, but not know what killed ‘em!
It is a known fact that You Tube has been MONETIZING peasants for decades now; lately the process has sounded easier to attain, yet it’s still a KNOWN UNKNOWN WHEN it happens to you🤲🏿
